Lets Get Classy | Stanced Lexus SC300

What we have today is a Twin-Turbo 2JZ-GTE Swapped SC300. This car leaves me in absolute amazement- It is powered by a Twin-Turbo 2JZ-GTE pushing out over 400hp, a stance that will leave you drooling, and an overall appearance so classy it puts Cadillac’s to shame. The exhaust note of this beauty made my hair stand on end. Dmitry, the owner said the reason he went with an SC300 of all cars was his immediate observation was how gorgeous the lines of the car are when he first saw one. When he had a chance to test drive one, he instantly fell in love with both the interior and how smooth the car felt on the road. A few other factors that made him want to own an SC300, like the fact that all of the drivetrain and suspension parts are interchangeable between the SC and Supra TT and the huge aftermarket support system that exists for these cars. He was also very impressed by the Club Lexus forums and how friendly and informative their community is he said finding parts and info is usually very easy and that is a huge plus.

What better wheels on a Stanced SC than S1’s?

Dmitry’s plans for his SC are to remove his R154 setup with the Supra TT Auto diff and swap in a complete USDM Supra V160 6spd drivetrain, including a PHR one piece driveshaft and an RPS Twin Carbon clutch system. After that he plans on doing a single turbo setup with Proefi.

Psssshhhh…

Dmitry said “I am proud to say that I’ve done all of the work myself, with the help of my brother and dad in our home garage. From upgrading the brakes, to changing out the suspension parts, to swapping in the 5spd transmission and doing the 2JZGTE swap with a complete tear down and rebuild. It was all done by us.” Its not often that you hear of someone doing all the work on their car on their own, and its incredible to see how flawless his work turned out on his SC.

This just shows how aggressive the stance is, even on a decline in a parking garage it sits level! I absolutely love it :D

I asked him what his inspirations for his car were from he said “I am always inspired by cars that are built properly without shortcuts and without cost cutting. Sometimes it’s better to wait a little bit, save up a little more, and buy the parts you really want. When I first bought the car, it was completely stock. About a year into owning it, I purchased some 18” wheels that were made to look like a three-piece design, but had fake plastic rivets that kept falling off and offsets that weren’t as aggressive as I wanted. After selling those wheels, I decided that there would be no more cost cutting with this car because in the end, it ends up costing you more money. I love the stock look of the 97+ SC body and the idea was to keep that stock-body appearance and make it more aggressive with bigger brakes and a meaner wheel/tire combo.”

On the front, he has swapped in LS400 Brakes for more aggressive stopping power and on the rear he has swapped in a TT Supra Brake kit.

Proud of you :) but you forgot to mention the girl who labeled and organized all the small parts in zip lock bags during the swap. She even drew pictures and designs on each bag! should have hung on to her ;)
